This client chose our big bowl decanter model after rigorous slurry testing and technical comparison. The site faces heavy processing loads and highly abrasive tailings. Compared with gravity thickeners and filter presses, the decanter centrifuge delivers continuous 24-hour solid-liquid separation without filter cloth replacement, which greatly cuts downtime and labour cost. Its variable frequency drive allows flexible adjustment of bowl speed and differential speed, adapting to fluctuating slurry concentration and particle size.

Inside the rotating bowl, high G-force pushes solid particles toward the bowl wall. The helical scroll transports thick solid cake to the conical discharge end, while clarified water overflows from the liquid outlet. The separated dry cake can be stacked safely for disposal or further resource utilization, and the recovered clean water flows back into the production loop for reuse. This design sharply reduces freshwater intake and lowers the risk of tailings dam failure, helping the mine meet local environmental compliance requirements.

We upgraded key wear parts with tungsten carbide protection for this project, extending service life under continuous abrasive working conditions. The five centrifuges work in parallel as a modular separation train, making capacity expansion and routine maintenance much easier. Our overseas service team supported factory FAT inspection, shipping supervision, on-site installation guidance and commissioning training, so local operators can master startup, parameter tuning and daily inspection quickly.
